Monday 14th November – Sunday 20th November

In support of International Men’s Day on Saturday 19th November, HuMAN aims to highlight the struggles and challenges many men face when it comes to their mental health.

HuMAN is a series of anonymous stories from men of all ages.

Suicide is the biggest cause of male deaths under the age of 50, and with men statistically less likely to access psychological therapies, around one in eight men have a common mental health problem such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder.

In an attempt to encourage conversation, but also raise awareness that men are not alone in what they feel and experience, HuMAN is a series of anonymous stories from men of all ages sharing their mental health struggles.

Every story shared will be displayed in Churchill Square from Monday 14 – Sunday 20th November as a visual representation to show just how many men struggle, often in silence.

Share your story

In under 300 words, share your story (anonymously) of the biggest challenge you face or have faced when it comes to your mental health. Whether it is those intrusive thoughts that often make you feel like you are the only one, a challenge experienced through adversity, or when some days just feel a little darker than others.

Every story shared will be displayed in Churchill Square from Monday 14 – Sunday 20th November as a visual representation to show just how many men struggle, often in silence.

Your story will help others feel like they are not alone.
